What's in the demo

The demo adds fishing, village rank, the first winter and the first raid to everything in the game today: building, villager lives and hunting. Features are planned and may change.

    Fish the rivers and lakes from a fishing hut, and keep the stores full by hunting and gathering.

    Growing settlement ranks unlock new buildings, and your first Rada decisions shape the colony.

    Stockpile food and split firewood before the cold months. A cold, hungry village won’t last until spring.

    Tatar raiders arrive with warning. Raise a palisade and a watchtower, and arm a militia with muskets.

What can I do in the demo?

Play your first year on the steppe. Raise khatas and huts, keep your villagers fed and warm, hunt and fish, and grow your village rank to unlock new buildings. Get through the first winter and hold off the first Tatar raid with a palisade, a watchtower and a militia armed with muskets.

What kind of game is Sich: Cossacks Tale?

A colony survival city-builder set among the Zaporizhzhian Cossacks of 18th-century Ukraine. You lead a band of settlers from a small stockpile towards a fortified Sich. The demo covers the first year; the full journey is planned for Early Access in autumn 2027.
